Meet The Artist

I’m Dmitrij Frolov, an abstract artist exploring how surfaces evolve — how they form, break, adapt, and endure.

My work is rooted in natural processes: growth, decay, erosion, and renewal. I build surfaces layer by layer, then interrupt them — allowing pressure, reaction, and material behaviour to shape the final result. What remains visible is not an image, but evidence of transformation.

Nothing is repeated. Each artwork develops its own structure, rhythm, and history, much like a landscape shaped over time. Irregularities are not corrected; they are essential. They carry memory, tension, and balance.

ARTISHOK is my way of capturing these processes in physical form — creating artworks that don’t simply exist in a space but evolve with it.
